## Purpose and scope

IonicRide is an independent information and comparison website about electric scooters,
electric bikes and related personal-mobility topics. The main focus is helping readers
understand products, ownership considerations and local rules in the UAE, with selected
coverage for other markets where the information can be properly sourced.

The aim is to turn technical specifications, official requirements and practical
considerations into clear guidance. IonicRide does not sell vehicles, process permits
or provide legal, financial or professional mechanical services.

## Who writes and publishes IonicRide

Articles may be published under the pen name **Alex Rahman**. This is a consistent
author identity used on IonicRide; it is not a separate company and does not imply
an engineering qualification, manufacturer role or government affiliation.

IonicRide does not operate an e-bike or e-scooter repair workshop, does not claim
access to customer repair records and does not claim to own every product discussed.
Any relevant relationship with a brand, retailer or product supplier will be disclosed
on the affected page.

 **Transparency rule**

A byline, biography or review must not claim qualifications, facilities, customers,
testing or ownership that cannot be supported.

## How research is carried out

The source used depends on the type of claim. IonicRide gives priority to the most
direct and authoritative source reasonably available:

 * **Laws, permits and riding rules:** official government, police, municipality
   and transport-authority pages.
 * **Specifications and operating instructions:** manufacturer product pages, owner
   manuals and technical documentation.
 * **Prices, stock and local availability:** current retailer or marketplace listings,
   treated as time-sensitive snapshots.
 * **Practical context:** first-hand observations when available and clearly identified
secondary sources when useful for cross-checking.

Sources are compared when a claim is important or inconsistent. Retailer descriptions
are not automatically treated as authoritative specifications, and AI-generated
text is not treated as a factual source. Readers should confirm current prices,
warranties, specifications and legal requirements with the relevant seller, manufacturer
or authority before acting.

## Personal testing and research-based content

Some e-bikes and e-scooters are personally ridden, used or inspected by the author.
A page may use terms such as “personally tested”, “hands-on” or “first-hand” only
when that experience genuinely occurred. The article should explain what was tested
and avoid presenting short practical use as certified laboratory testing.

Many buying guides, comparisons and product pages are based on research rather than
physical testing. Those pages evaluate published specifications, manuals, features,
intended use, warranty information, local availability and price. They must not
imply ownership, workshop inspection or first-hand riding when none occurred.

**Personally tested**The author genuinely used, rode or inspected the product.

**Research-based**The assessment relies on documented sources rather than physical
testing.

**Manufacturer claim**A range, speed or performance figure comes from the manufacturer.

**Price snapshot**The listed price or availability was checked at a particular time
and may change.

## Reviews, comparisons and recommendations

Recommendations consider the intended rider and use case rather than assuming one
product is best for everyone. Depending on the article, relevant factors may include
safety features, legal-use restrictions, size and weight, published range, battery
and motor specifications, warranty, parts or service availability and value at the
time of review.

Manufacturer performance figures are usually measured under controlled conditions.
Actual range, speed and climbing ability can vary with rider weight, temperature,
terrain, tyre pressure, riding mode, battery condition and other factors. IonicRide
distinguishes published claims from first-hand observations wherever that distinction
is material.

A product’s inclusion in an article does not mean it was personally tested, purchased
or endorsed. Brands and retailers cannot buy a higher position or a favourable editorial
conclusion.

## Editorial independence and affiliate links

As of the date above, IonicRide uses two affiliate programmes: Amazon Associates
and the Noon affiliate programme. **As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying
purchases.** If a reader follows an eligible link and completes a qualifying purchase,
IonicRide may receive a commission. IonicRide does not add a separate fee to the
reader’s order.

Affiliate eligibility does not determine whether a product is included, removed,
praised, criticised or ranked. The retailer (Amazon or Noon) and the relevant seller
control the listing, price, stock, payment, delivery, warranty and return process.
Read the full [Affiliate Disclosure](https://ionicride.com/affiliate-disclosure/)
for details.

IonicRide has not published paid sponsored posts as of the update date above. If
paid content, a free product or a loaned review unit is introduced later, the relevant
relationship will be disclosed clearly on the affected page.

## Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with organising research, creating outlines, editing language,
formatting content or identifying points that need verification. AI output is not
accepted as evidence and is not cited as the authority for factual claims.

The publisher remains responsible for the final page. Material factual claims should
be checked against suitable official, manufacturer or other identifiable sources
before publication. AI assistance must not be used to invent first-hand experience,
credentials, quotations, sources or product testing.

## Safety and legal information

Electric-mobility rules can vary by emirate, location, vehicle type and date. Legal
and permit articles provide general information and are not legal advice. Readers
should check the latest instructions from the relevant UAE authority before riding,
modifying or purchasing a vehicle.

Maintenance and troubleshooting articles are also general information. Stop using
a vehicle if a fault may affect safe operation, and consult the manufacturer or
a qualified service provider when the work exceeds your knowledge or tools.

## Updates and corrections

Products, prices, retailer stock and regulations can change after publication. A“
last updated” date indicates that meaningful work was made to the page; it does
not guarantee that every external detail remains unchanged.

When IonicRide identifies a material error, the goal is to correct the relevant
text, source, date or explanation as soon as practical. Minor spelling, grammar
and formatting changes may be made without a separate correction note. Significant
corrections may be explained within the article when that context helps readers.

To report a problem, send the page URL, the statement in question and any supporting
primary source through the [contact page](https://ionicride.com/contact-us/).
