A Dubai repair shop that got tired of bad advice online.

IonicRide started in 2022 after Alex Rahman — a mechanical engineer running an e-scooter and e-bike repair workshop in Dubai — noticed a pattern. Customers kept coming in with problems that were predictable, preventable, and often caused by bad buying decisions based on misinformation online.

Wrong model for Dubai heat. Scooters bought from sellers with no UAE warranty. Riders fined because nobody told them the permit was mandatory. Battery failures caused by charging habits that work fine in Europe but destroy cells in 45°C UAE summers.

IonicRide exists to fix that information gap. Every guide, review and law update is written from the perspective of someone who sees the real-world consequences of bad decisions — at the workshop bench, not from a laptop in a country where it never gets above 25°C.

Product prices are verified on Noon UAE and Amazon.ae at time of publication and marked with a verification date.
